The San Francisco Giants have gotten off to a very interesting start. This offseason the Giants have opened up their checkbooks and finally invested in some talent. The Giants signed infielder Matt Chapman, outfielder Jorge Soler, starting pitcher Jordan Hicks, Robbie Ray, and Blake Snell, but it seems that even though with all these moves the Giants have yet to find their identity. They have shown grit in the first two months of the season but they have also played horrible baseball at times. So far the Giants record this season stands at 30-33 which has them 1 game back of that third wildcard.

This team has been impacted with a lot of injuries, but that is not the reason for their struggle. During these hard times, we have finally been introduced to what some call the best player on the team right now Heliot Ramos. Heliot Ramos has been amazing for the Giants, batting .304 with 5 home runs, 19 RBIs, and a .918 OPS. Ramos seems to be the hot bat that sparks up the Giants lineup. Now you might ask yourself, "Who is Heliot Ramos." Well, Heliot Ramos is the younger brother of Henry Ramos who also played in the Majors for the Diamondbacks and the Reds. Ramos is the youngest of three, he comes from a family of athletes with all three of his brothers playing professional sports. Heliot Ramos is from Maunabo, Puerto Rico he made his MLB debut on April 22, 2022. It took a while for young Ramos to find his rhythm in the show but it seems like his time has finally arrived. Ramos is the spark the Giants have been looking for and when this team is finally healthy they will rely on Ramos to take them to the promised land.
